Book Sale Donations

The Friends appreciate the items donated that we can sell at our monthly and in-library book sale areas.  Your donation supports your community libraries!

The following items are gladly accepted:

  • Paper and hardback books

  • Recorded music - CD / DVDs / Records

  • Movies - DVDs

  • Audiobooks - Cassette or CDs

  • Art, Architecture and History books​

  • Cookbooks

  • Children's and Young Adult books

  • Graphic Novels and Comic Books​

Sorry, we cannot accept the following items:

  • ​Torn, dirty, moldy, smelly, or water-damaged books

  • Books with excessive writing, highlighting, or underlining

  • Time Life series or Reader's Digest books

  • Magazines

  • National Geographic

  • Encyclopedias

  • Textbooks / Medical Books

  • VHS ​

Where to Donate
Items can be dropped off on the table located under the carport at the Madelyn Helling Library at 980 Helling Way, Nevada City. Large pick-ups can be arranged by calling 530-557-0119 or emailing the Friends at friends@ncfol.org. Thank you for your Support!
